Today, November 19, is celebrated International Men’s Day – a holiday dedicated to the stronger sex. This day was not left without the attention of video game developers. Among the first congratulations was published by the Polish studio CD Projekt RED, known for Cyberpunk 2077 and the cult series The Witcher. The authors of the game congratulated the men and pleased fans with unique wallpaper in the style of Cyberpunk 2077.
In social networks CD Projekt RED there was a message in which the developers not only congratulated gamer on the holiday, but also offered to take an example from the protagonist of Cyberpunk 2077 – Vi, stand out from the background of others.
The community met with a humour. Many gamers noted that the studio after a few years finally recognized the existence of the male version of V. Previously, the female version of the character was more noticeable in the promotional materials and on the updated cover of the game, which gave rise to disputes about the canonicalness of the sex of the protagonist. However, now the developers have again confirmed the equality of both versions of the V, causing a positive response from fans.
