Today we are pleased to share with you the latest theme of the upcoming DLC “Greece” for Euro Truck Simulator 2! We have told you more about some of the new unique destination routes and special transport that will appear in this long-awaiod supplement.
Travel and tourism play a prominent role in supporting the Greek economy. In 2023, more than 32 million people visited Greece. As you can imagine, this creates a phenomenal demand for housing, including larger hotel resorts, one of the new and unique depots where you can deliver the cargo in this DLC!
Resort hotels
During your trip to Greece, you can deliver goods to 5 special warehouses in hotels. We talked to Adrian, who was responsible for their creation to learn more about the process of their development. “All the hotels in this DLC are based on real places, and each of them is unique,” Adrian tells us. “I’re looking forward to seeing the community find its real analogues as they open them in the game. However, one of our hotels located in Rhodes had to be moved to Lesbos because of the size restrictions.
“The biggest challenge in this project was that the user warehouses as a new technology were relatively new to ETS2, so we didn’t have the advanced procedures we use today; we learned a lot along the way!”
“Stuating hotels and choosing specific locations was especially difficult, as some locations lacked the space needed for the gameplay. To solve this problem, I had to adjust the design to provide enough space for parking spaces of varying complexity, while maintaining the picturesque charm of the Greek language. hotels.”
“When designing hotels, I focused on making hard-cover parking spaces more complex than other warehouses. These places are really for experienced players, and I can’t wait to see how the players can handle them!”
Cargo transportation in Greece
Special transport operations are expanding! Drivers looking for special work in the DLC of Greece will be happy to know that the labor market will be offered to be offered.
Truckers, ready to take on these powerful cargoes, will find several new routes of special transport. While these routes have been carefully planned by our dispatchers, you can expect that on the way to the final destination you will have to face some complex maneuvers. As always, trained escort groups and local police will help you pave the right route and, if necessary, help block the movement to ensure safe passage.
