Helldivers 2 was one of the most discussed releases of this year. The game started well, but then caused a lot of controversy due to the additional requirement to have a PSN account (which was eventually canceled due to player criticism), as well as because of the adverse changes in the game balance that made it more fair but at the same time less enjoyable.
However, the developers accepted the community’s opinion to heart, taking the necessary fixes, and now we can say that these efforts have yielded the expected results. In Steam, among the reviews published by players in the last 30 days, 95% praise Helldivers 2, which the platform classifies as an “exceptionally positive” game reception.
Of all reviews published since the release, 74% are positive. Obviously, recent changes have been very enthrex perceived by the players, and the developers managed to regain community sympathy.
The game also has good performance. The record for the past weekend was 34 000 players playing at the same time. Helldivers 2 is unlikely to reach the same level of success as immediately after the release, when it simultaneously played more than 400 000 people on PC. However, its current indicators are enough to keep the game awkoning.
Helldivers 2 was released on February 8. The game is available on PC and PlayStation 5.
