Netmarkle has unveiled the first gameplay trailer for the new game Game of Thrones: Kingsroad, based on the universe of “Game of Thrones”. This is an open-RPG action RPG, the events of which unfold between the fourth and fifth seasons of the popular series and are concentrated on the northern lands around Winterfell and the Wall. The game will be available on mobile devices (Android and iOS), as well as on PC in 2025.
Game of Thrones: Kingsroad promises to explore a huge open world where players will be able to immerse themselves in the familiar atmosphere of Westeros, face various threats and develop their character. The website of the project indicates that the developers seek to observe the canon not only of the series, but also of the books of George Martin. The game will run on the Unreal Engine 5, which involves high-quality graphics and detailed landscapes of North Westeros.
The project was announced at the exhibition Gstar 2024, where Netmarble showed the first trailer, but there are few details about mechanics. However, players are promised a story campaign and RPG elements, as well as an event-rich world with references to episodes of the series. Before that, there were rumors about the development of the game by another company – Nexon, as well as about the genre of MMO, but since then the project has replaced the developer and the concept, focusing on the action-RPG.
