Modders added a unique subclass of Paladin in Baldur’s Gate 3 – Ad’s Oath

Modders are gradually adding content to Baldur’s Gate 3, and sometimes these projects are quite ambitious. For example, they recently introduced a new Oath for the Paladin—the Ad’s Oath—which provides additional fire damage, various fiery spells, and even the ability to summon devils.

The subclass is based on the path of the Oathbreaker but has been manually modified to be unique, created specifically for Baldur’s Gate 3. Interestingly, the modders have been flexible, allowing those who follow the Ad’s Oath to use Mystical Charge—an exclusive and popular cantrip among sorcerers.

However, the core mechanics of the Paladin—such as the impact of breaking the Oath on victories and choices—have not been implemented by the modders. Actions will not influence the character’s strength, nor can they become an Oathbreaker. The general concept remains intact for those who want to follow the Oath, but it is not particularly detailed and does not go beyond villainous evil:

You have dedicated yourself to the will of the archfiends of hell, bearing their agenda to mortals.

You can download the mod on the Nexus Mods website. The game already features Oaths of Devotion, the Ancients, and Vengeance, as well as the option to become an Oathbreaker. The upcoming Patch 8 will expand this list with the more unusual Oath of the Crown.
