Criterion Games and EA have announced the next season in the racing arcade Need for Speed Unbound. It starts on November 26, and the main “feature” of the update will be a new PvPvE mode for five squads of three people.
In Lockdown mode, gamers will have to fight each other, dodging annoying police officers and avoiding the ever-expanding “Lockdown Zone”. During the race, teams will be able to find and steal 15 new cars inspired by the legendary Need for Speed: Most Wanted. But to escape with the loot, you will have to fight for a special truck with an EMP bomb.
In addition to new cars, among which there was a place for the iconic Racer X BMW M3 GTR, you can also race on bikes. Bad news: motorcycles will only be available in Lockdown mode and several special PvP missions.
Need for Speed Unbound was released on PC and current-gen consoles in December 2022. The arcade racing game has only 59% positive reviews on Steam.
