Overdrive Mode for Cyberpunk 2077 remains the best demonstration of track tracks – a new video comparison

The Overdrive mode in Cyberpunk 2077, which added tracks, continues to be the most impressive demonstration of this technology. Despite the fact that the game was one of the first to implement it, the new video comparison demonstrates how effectively this technique transforms graphics.

The comparison prepared by the MxBenchmarkPC channel includes Cyberpunk 2077, Alan Wake 2, Black Myth: Wukong, Resident Evil 4, Resident Evil 2 and Desordre. The video shows the differences between renders without ray tracing, with the trace and with the tracks. While in some games such as Alan Wake 2 and Black Myth: Wukong, the effect of track tracks is minimal, in Cyberpunk 2077 it literally transforms the visual style.

Despite the fact that the CD Projekt RED ceased active support for Cyberpunk 2077 and focused on the development of the second part of the series, the game’s graphics continue to improve thanks to the mods and updates of NVIDIA technologies. The latest version of DLSS 3.8.10 has brought significant improvements in smoothing, working with VRAM and overall performance.
